Catapult Carnage was founded in the summer of 2015 by Chris Graffin, a world-class competitive target shooter and avid small game hunter from County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Chris is well known from his successful YouTube channel, Catapult Carnage, which has over 100,000 subscribers; the channel highlights his truly amazing marksmanship and equally impressive bushcraft skills amongst a variety of picturesque Northern Irish backdrops. Since the success of his YouTube channel, Chris has branched out into other forms of social media, including Facebook and Instagram, which he uses to showcase his stunning custom catapults, now available for purchase through this website (see Catapults page).

Chris Graffin began shooting a catapult in his childhood, but he didn’t get serious about target shooting and hunting until 2011, at the age of 20. It was then that Chris was inspired to pick up the catapult again by the likes of John Webb (aka Gamekeeper John) and Bill Hayes. Four years later, in 2015, Chris decided to launch Catapult Carnage to contribute his knowledge and experience with the rapidly growing online community of slingshot enthusiasts. To Chris, Catapult Carnage’s mission is simple: pushing the boundaries of what’s capable with a slingshot, disseminating useful information about the sport, and bringing innovative products to the slingshot community.

Chris has made several one-off slingshots using a variety of materials (e.g., Micarta, natural tree forks, etc.), which are showcased on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube; the latter features many of these one-offs in a series of “how-to” videos, wherein Chris shows step-by-step his creative process. Lately, Chris has gained notoriety with a series of Paracord-wrapped aluminum slingshot frames, which began with the original Titan in 2017. Chris knew that aluminum would provide the lightweight structural strength needed to hunt with heavy band setups, and that a Paracord wrap would provide a superior non-slip grip, wicking away moisture in the summer and acting as an insulator in the winter, protecting his hands from the otherwise cold metal frame. Multiple iterations and improvements later, Chris came up four (current) models: the Titanhunter, the Companion, the Classic, and the Titanhunter S90.

The Titanhunter is Chris’ flagship model and best-seller. He has made it available in both OTT and TTF band configurations and in three sizes (small, medium, and large). Chris designed the Titanhunter’s frame to be highly ergonomic, and it fits in the hand very nicely. Subsequently, Chris designed the Companion, which is available in OTT only and comes in one size: the length of a small Titanhunter with the width of a medium Titanhunter. He designed the Companion to have a high brace for enhanced accuracy. Afterward, Chris developed the Classic, which is available in OTT only; it comes in two sizes (small and large). Chris designed the Classic to have a narrower fork gap than either the Titanhunter or the Companion, making it ultra-pocketable and very popular with instinctive shooters. Most recently, Chris developed the Titanhunter S90. The S90 is a hybrid between the small and medium Titanhunters, with the same stepped-out tips featured on the Companion. It has an ultra-popular 90mm width, with the same highly ergonomic and unparalleled grip as the original Titanhunter.

Since 2017, all Catapult Carnage slingshots have been made to spec by Chris himself. These catapults are built by a champion, for champions. We’re Catapult Carnage, and we’re killing the competition through innovation, quality, and a dedication to excellence.
